On a hot South Carolina day, a simple baseball cap can provide shade, comfort, and protection. At Cool Heads Greenville, our mission is beautifully simple.
We provide brand-new hats to our neighbors experiencing homelessness throughout Greenville.
Every hat is brand new. Every hat is given with respect. Every hat is personally delivered.
Why Brand-New Hats?
People experiencing homelessness receive many donated items. We believe everyone deserves something that is completely new.
A new hat says, "Someone cared enough to give me something new."
It's more than protection from the sun. It's a simple reminder that kindness still exists and that every person deserves to be treated with dignity.
How It Started
Cool Heads Greenville began with one idea: buy a few new hats and personally hand them to people living outdoors in downtown Greenville.
The very first hats were distributed at the Greenville Soup Kitchen and Unity Park. Every single hat found a new owner within hours.
